1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to gridrated.com and the GridRated services that link to it. GridRated is operated by Keagan Ray Brown in South Dakota, United States.
2. Information GridRated collects
- Driver and profile information: driver name, discipline, country, team, car photo URL, racing statistics, ratings, ranking history, and an iRacing customer ID used to match official results.
- Join and update submissions: name, email address, Discord username, iRacing customer ID, country, team, discipline, photo URL, and the information submitted for review.
- Advertising information: contact and business names, email, Discord username, website and artwork URLs, headline, campaign notes, selected package, amount, and campaign status.
- Payment information: Stripe processes payment-card and billing information. GridRated may receive limited transaction information such as payment status, amount, reference, and contact details, but does not directly collect or store full card numbers.
- Account and technical information: when authentication is used, GridRated may receive an account identifier, email, and name from the authentication provider. Hosting and security providers may process IP address, browser, device, request, cookie, and access-log information needed to deliver and secure the service.
3. Sources of information
Information may come directly from you, another community member, a driver or representative, publicly available racing records, GridRated administrators, Stripe, authentication providers, and hosting or security providers.
4. How information is used
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve GridRated.
- Review submissions and create, update, rank, or remove driver profiles.
- Use an iRacing customer ID to match a driver with official iRacing records and retrieve or calculate racing statistics when automatic statistics are enabled.
- Respond to questions, corrections, privacy requests, and legal notices.
- Review advertising, process transactions, verify payment, and administer campaigns.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, and violations of GridRated policies.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect rights and safety.
5. Public information
Driver names, countries, teams, car photos, statistics, ratings, and ranking history may be displayed publicly. Contact emails, Discord usernames, iRacing customer IDs, account identifiers, payment details, and private campaign notes are not intentionally published as part of a driver profile. Approved advertisements publicly display the advertiser’s artwork, brand, headline, destination link, and sponsorship label.
6. Sharing
GridRated may disclose information to hosting, database, authentication, security, email, and payment providers that help operate the service; to professional advisers; when required by law or valid legal process; to protect rights or safety; or as part of a business transfer. Stripe processes payments under its own privacy policy.
GridRated does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Paid advertising on GridRated is contextual placement and is labeled as sponsored.
7. Retention
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including review queues, profile history, campaign administration, security, dispute resolution, accounting, and legal obligations. GridRated may delete rejected or obsolete submissions and may retain limited records where needed to document a transaction or enforce these policies.
8. Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you. You may also object to or request restriction of certain uses where applicable. GridRated may need to verify your identity and may retain information when legally permitted or required. To make a request, use the contact email below.
9. Age rule
Public pages may be viewed by a general audience, but forms, advertising purchases, and donations are for people age 18 or older. GridRated does not knowingly collect personal information through these features from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor submitted personal information, contact GridRated so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
10. Security and international use
GridRated uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate. By using GridRated from outside the United States, you understand that laws may differ from those in your location.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated when GridRated’s practices, providers, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be posted with a new effective date.
