1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using GridRated, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies linked from the Legal Center. If you do not agree, do not use the service. People who submit information, request advertising, or make payments must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.
2. About GridRated
GridRated is an independent editorial and statistical project operated by Keagan Ray Brown. It publishes unofficial driver ratings, rankings, career statistics, yearly statistics, comparisons, and related information for the sim-racing community.
GridRated is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations, LLC, its affiliates, any racing sanctioning body, driver, team, vehicle manufacturer, or advertiser unless a relationship is expressly disclosed. Third-party names, marks, and images belong to their respective owners.
3. Ratings are opinions, not official results
Ratings and rankings are calculated using GridRated’s published methods and available data. They are editorial and statistical opinions, not official iRacing ratings, eligibility decisions, certifications, professional evaluations, or guarantees of skill or future performance.
Data may be incomplete, delayed, disputed, or incorrect. Formulas, inputs, season definitions, and rankings may be corrected or changed. GridRated does not promise that any driver will receive or keep a particular rating, rank, profile, or placement.
4. Acceptable use
You may view and share links to public GridRated pages for lawful, personal, editorial, or community purposes. You may not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, submit knowingly false information, harvest personal information, overload the service, or use GridRated in a way that violates law or another person’s rights.
5. Driver profiles and corrections
A profile may include information supplied by the driver, community members, public racing records, or GridRated administrators. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or a contractual relationship. A driver or authorized representative may request a reasonable factual correction or removal review by contacting GridRated. GridRated may ask for information sufficient to verify the request.
6. Third-party services and links
GridRated may link to advertisers, Stripe, social platforms, photo hosts, and other third parties. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. GridRated is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, claims, products, or transactions.
7. Availability and changes
GridRated may add, change, suspend, or remove any feature, profile, rating, submission, advertisement, or part of the service at any time. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, provider failures, security events, or circumstances outside GridRated’s control.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GridRated is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or freedom from errors. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GridRated and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, reputational harm, or decisions made based on a rating or profile. For any claim arising from the service, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to GridRated during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim or $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
10. Responsibility for your submissions
You are responsible for information, images, advertising, links, and other material you submit. You agree to reimburse GridRated for reasonable losses, claims, or expenses arising from your unlawful submission, your violation of another person’s rights, or your material breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Dakota and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in South Dakota, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
12. Changes and severability
GridRated may update these terms by posting a revised date. Material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
